My journey with horses is as much about finding myself as it is about photography.

I grew up around horses, where we started our relationshop but I never knew they will become my safe zone. Life, however, has a way of leading us to the things we truly need. I went through incredibly tough times, which led me to flee my home country Syria, and start over from scratch in the UK.

It was in this new chapter of my life, surrounded by uncertainty and loss, that horses stepped into the foreground. They became my refuge, my solace, and my connection to a sense of peace. They weren’t just animals to me anymore—they became my companions, my friends, and the place where I found relief and strength.

During this time I was also pursuing my Master in Digital and Interactive Storytelling. The themes of storytelling, connection, and expression became central to my work, both academically and personally.

Photography, for me, is the way to tell stories, to communicate feelings in an open and profound way—a way that invites viewers to bring their own emotions and interpretations to the frame.

Having lived through moments of profound loss, my perspective of our memories has changed I’ve come to deeply value the moments we’re lucky enough to experience. Through my lense, I aim to create images that are as meaningful as the moments themselves.
